The Summer School Tour Sets Charlotte, NC on Fire with a Night of Nonstop Energy
The Summer School Tour rolled into Charlotte, North Carolina, and from the moment the first band stepped on stage, it felt like summer wrapped up in loud guitars, big singalongs, and a room full of people ready to lose themselves in live music. Every band brought something different, but they all fit together perfectly. The crowd never really slowed down. If anything, the energy kept building with every set until the entire venue felt like one giant celebration of the next generation of pop punk, alternative rock, and emo.

Lacy Dooms

Lacy Dooms kicked things off with exactly the kind of energy an opening band hopes for. They didn't waste a second easing into the night. Heavy riffs, driving drums, and vocals packed with attitude immediately grabbed everyone's attention. People who had never heard them before were nodding along with the songs. Their confidence on stage made the whole room feel awake, and by the time their set wrapped up, they had clearly won over a lot of new listeners.
Chase Petra

Chase Petra brought a different kind of intensity that mixed sharp songwriting with plenty of personality. Their songs bounced between thoughtful moments and explosive choruses that had the crowd shouting back almost instinctively. The chemistry between the band and the fans was impossible to miss. Chase Petra looked like they were having just as much fun as everyone watching them. Every song flowed naturally into the next, keeping the momentum going without ever feeling rushed.
Games We Play

Games We Play delivered one of the most entertaining sets of the night. The music was catchy from start to finish, and frontman Emmyn Calleiro never stopped moving. One minute he was joking with the audience, and the next he was flying across the stage while the crowd jumped along with him. It felt impossible to stand still. Every chorus seemed built for a room full of voices singing together, and Charlotte happily accepted the challenge. The band's mix of humor, confidence, and nonstop movement made their set one people will probably be talking about long after the tour ends.
Winona Fighter

Winona Fighter hit the stage like they had something to prove. Their fast-paced songs landed with incredible force, and the crowd answered with nonstop movement from the very first note. Mosh pits opened almost immediately while fans packed against the barricade screamed every lyric right back at the band. Coco Kinnon commanded the stage with confidence and never let the energy dip for even a second. The band sounded tight, loud, and completely in sync, making every song hit even harder live. It was one of those performances that reminded everyone why punk shows are meant to be experienced in person.
South Arcade

South Arcade delivered a standout performance with a set that blended alternative rock, infectious pop hooks, and just the right amount of early 2000s nostalgia. Harmony Cavelle's vocals sounded fantastic live, and the entire band fed off each other's energy as they moved around the stage, keeping the audience engaged from beginning to end. It didn't take long before people who had never heard them were clapping, bouncing, and singing along to the choruses. Every song carried its own personality while the band never lost momentum, and by the time they walked off stage, the loud cheers made it clear the fans had fallen for South Arcade.
Honey Revenge

Honey Revenge closed out the night with a performance that proved exactly why they've become one of the hottest bands in the scene. From the second the band walked on stage, the crowd exploded with excitement, singing every lyric at full volume and matching the band's energy from start to finish. Devin's vocals were powerful, Donovan Lloyd's guitar work added the perfect balance of melody and punch, and the band's chemistry made every moment feel genuine. Between songs they joked with the audience and created a connection that made the large venue feel like an intimate hangout with best friends, then jumped right back into songs that had everyone dancing and singing together. As the final chorus echoed through the venue, hundreds of voices filled the room, and when the lights came up, it was obvious nobody was ready for the night to end.
